The VNA is seeking a Resale Manager to be responsible for overall performance of the company’s resale operation (store location as well as agency) to ensure that the resale store performs at or better than industry benchmarks. A working manager who is also responsible for setting goals, increasing sales, fostering donations and community outreach, improving customer service, and maintaining a safe work and shopping environment. Serve as primary communication link between store and home office.

Responsibilities

  • Be able to perform all duties of any level of staff.
  • Participate in the hiring, training, and supervision of resale store associates.
  • Monitor sales, donations, and operations at the store to ensure that budget goals are met.
  • Develop sales strategies, promotional events, and community outreach efforts to ensure that budgeted performance goals are met.
  • Monitor store inventory, recommend and facilitate movement of stock between stores to support market trends and sales performance.
  • Provide input on annual budget based on data and input from Finance Department, and Director of Marketing and Communications.
  • Set long and short term department goals, including goals for associates and volunteers.
  • Manage, coach and give feedback on performance improvement utilizing the VNA performance management process. Complete and conduct performance reviews following Human Resources approval process.
  • Continuously educate and seek out training to help associates improve their skills and knowledge of the resale business. 
  • Work collaboratively with the  other agency departments to enhance operations and promote the work of the VNA.

Qualifications

Minimum three years related experience and/or training

Minimum 1 year management/supervisory or work direction experience

Experience in resale/consignment operations preferred
